I was bored and so I made two anime drawing videos. These two took a little bit of extra planning, and preparation. I also drew a simple background for the drawings. I think it makes the drawings seem a little bit better.
The center figures are sill the main characters. The first drawing worth mentioning is called Snow White and the 7 Chibis. The anime drawing video should already be up and about.
The second one is going to uploaded eventually. I was thinking at first to make another holiday themed drawing. In the end, I settled for making a fairy tale drawing and a book reference drawing.
The Snow White tale is as old as time. It has many different versions. Some do not even have dwarves. The story is still the same with the main girl white as snow, and the red lips.
The description of the maiden is pretty standardized. I like the one with the swans and the troll woman. Trolls are ever so much fun. Not the human type troll, but the real trolls.
These days trolls are only associated with terrible movies, and online folks. They did used to be interesting book characters. The second drawing is based on a random scene from the Phantom of the Opera.
In the book, the masquerade scene was not like a big deal. I think it only lasted like 5 pages, or something. I forget. After rereading the book, I came to the conclusion that the Phantom of the Opera is a mixed bag.
There are certain plot points that the book can definitely do without. The masquerade scene in the book was at least amusing. Anyhow, here is the Red Death and the Domino costume.
I looked up a bit the Domino outfits from the 1880s, something or 90s. The Domino referred to the type of mask Christine sported. Even in the first Phantom movie, everything done about the character has been pretty much the same.
The Persian makes an appearance here and there. Still, there is a reason why nobody in their right mind has ever done a faithful adaptation of the book The Phantom of the Opera.
It does have enough plot to be a short TV series. They can probably extend the episodes by focusing more on the plays, like Faust. I think this is enough nonsense on my drawings.
They where made with markers and coloring pencils. I hope both these drawings make you smile. For more detail on the techniques, you can check out the videos that will be embed in this blog.
