  I did an video blog about Van Gogh. He was a self-taught painter. He followed steps to master his craft. He started with paper and pencil. In fact, the bulk of his artworks are pencil drawings.  Once he mastered pencil, he started painting. He used first cheap colors. He was trying to translate his drawing skills to paintings. I did a new podcast. The theme was kissing paintings. Kissing in western art was limited to religious subjects. It was just the Virgin kissing her son or Juda kissing Jesus. Kissing in a romantic sense was taboo. As the Catholic church went out of fashion, kissing became more prominent. This was truer when the Neoclassical period started. Once we got to the modern days, kissing was no longer taboo.   Painting kisses was socially accepted and even encouraged. You can see the blog in my Artsy Sister Channel. I did some new pouring art. Each was done with a different pouring painting technique. The first one was traditional dutch pouring art. You add the colors and then you blow on the paint with a straw.  In the second painting, you allow for gravity to do the heavy lifting. Just tilt the canvas and let the paint falls. The other one was done with swipe. I added the colors in the middle and then I swiped the paint to the left and right.    The other painting I don’t remember.
