Auria of Memory

Take a clear prism,

Make light its prison.

Give me the primary hues.

Let’s taint the sky

With a velvet plume.

So deep and blue,

Paint these icy tears,

That descend your

Ashen face.

Why do you fear

The green moon?

She wants you

But she won’t have you.

Eternity beckons,

Oblivion is my Nemesis.

Salvation Seems so Far Away

Salvation never seemed so far away.

To be saved… from what pains?

If living is such a burden

Then why do we fear death?

Keep us safe, as we walk

In this neon valley of death

Full of demons wearing

The mass of saints.

Cast off the masks

Of sympathy, irony,

Hypocrisy, pity, piety…

What is the truth

That will set us free?

Hear, my lord,

Come my lord.

Lift my cross

So that I may live again:

Without pain,

Without blame,

Without shame.

Salvation never seemed so far away.

Frog Zebra

Poor little darling,

The body of a frog,

The face of a Zebra.

Poor lil Frog Zebra.

What skies have you seen?

My darling Frog Zebra.

Why do you look so grump?

Did you miss you fly?

Is there no more grass?

What skies, what pods

Have you seen, Frog Zebra?

Black as night,

With white stripes,

And wet behind the ears.

Frog Zebra, with the legs of a frog

And the head of a Zebra.

Are you a mammal

Or a cold reptile, Frog Zebra.

Always resting, so tenderly

On a fragile leaf.

Frog Zebra, you chimera,

When will it be your era?

When will you smile anew,

Frog Zebra, for the morning dew?

Sacrifice

With these bleeding hands

I raise you above my head!

Erase your fears,

I do not need your tears.

This is the death I longed for.

Say a prayer for me,

It will ease my forlorn.

The furnace calls

Beyond those rotting faces.

Ashes we must all become.

With these rotting bones

I raised you,

Do not shed a tear.

It is the grave you fear.

For 5 Years

For 5 years

I bled for you,

To see you smile, anew.

For 5 years

I slept in fear,

Bleeding to keep you here.

My morals discarded,

My pride forgotten.

For 5 years,

A River of blood

I bled for you!

And it was not enough!

Now an empty corpse

You bleed me again.

Why did I sacrifice

All those years?

Was it to make you cheer?

Now that you don’t need me

I lie here prostrated, discarded,

Like some child’s broken toy.

Yes, there are many more to come.

But, alas, I am undone.

Why did I bled

For all those years

That seemed an eternity.

Those nightmarish 5 years

Never seem to end!

I still hear their screams,

They echo forever in my dreams.

And though I am home,

I carry their blood

In my wounded heart.

For 5 years

I bled for you!

But you won’t bleed for me!

Mars’ Song

Forever fighting,

Always dying,

Periods of peace

Filled with expectations

Dreading Mars’ Song.

Villages, pillaged,

Faces flat, in the dirt,

Empty sockets,

Creeping blowflies

Filled with hesitation

For his song resumes.

Caught in the beat of his drums.

There are no more rests

To help us catch our dying breath.

Forever singing, always dancing.

Not even Venus’ song may stop him.

She lies prostrated, wasted,

Mars’ perfected vengeance.

Thanatos, he awaits,

Filled with agitation;

Thrilled, his wife beckons,

With promises of eternal peace.

Will Mars’ song end

In the land of yesterday?

Mars’ Song 2

A Small man’s petty ambition

Resurrects Mars anew,

For 2000 years he laid dormant,

Known only to a few.

And behold, he lines up the sacrifices;

Shedding all, except his own blood.

With their lives he makes a flood

That swallows us whole.

He will carve his name

In our brains,

So we may never forget his shame!

Just watch him smile anew,

As he opens a new grave.

Song Birds or Those Infernal Demons

Late at night,

While struggling to sleep,

Two sweet demons

Visited my window.

Their visages, unknown,

Their voices, a melody,

Alas, they wanted to get in!

All my prayers were for naught.

The harder I prayed,

The louder they sang.

So harmonic, so hypnotic,

I grew weaker…

Too tired to stay awake

Yet, unable to sleep.

I hear their songs anew.

My chest crushed,

My mouth hushed.

Myself, disintegrating,

A strange pressure

Over my chest.

Just as quickly

As these sensations came,

They quickly departed.

When finally my eyes widened.

Chess Match or Our Must

Dance anew,

Sing out loud

And celebrate

This checkmate.

Take the king

To the pyre.

And his subjects?

As well, to the fire!

Burn his queen,

Lets enjoy her screams!

The same image,

The same visage.

A tender face

Of what might have been,

Distorted in pain…

Who Is to blame?

Who made the first move?

Things are rarely

So black and white.

Enough, do not spare anyone.

To the pyre goes

Both the king and his peons!

No one may escape!

This curse must be passed on.

Across countless eons,

Forever chained to your must!

Random Anger

Forever bound to a foolish fantasy.

Wearing the mask forged by society.

In not time, it becomes the mold

The distorted my true face.

My heart grows old

Forever chained to the lies

I was compelled to accept.

This is your truth,

The one that bound me.

As I grow used to these chains

I feel my eyes dimming.

I will never see the world

Beyond these iron bars.

The path was laid bare

By those that never cared.

They can never be satisfied

With the tears I shed.

Why must I maintain

Their bellies of iron?

For me, its pain

For them, it’s just a game

That I never wanted to play.

Once again, I must roll the dice.

Orpheus Fragment

Listening for the nightingale,

Bellow this earthly shell,

Hides your broken lire,

Forever chained to your fire.

Plain Pastel

What I truly wanted

Was just plain pastel.

I did not want to brood

Over this daily hell.

Instead of gentle colors

I must taint this sheet

With my venom?

Why must I always see

In monochrome tones?

In the end,

All I wanted was some pastel…

Underwater

Rocked beneath the waves,

The fishes, my sole companions.

Traveling, aloft, drifting

Scarcely feeling the sun.

As I sink deeper,

My body shivers.

In no time

I will become numb.

Who am I?

What am I?

I care not to remember…

Was I tall?

Was I young?

I don’t care anymore…

Breathing in the ocean air

I no longer feel the sun’s flare.

At last I found

The peace I longed for.

Mars’ Song 3

I hear the bells tolling

Not once, but trice.

A million souls are burning

They demand a sacrifice.

Again, I hear his ancient drumming.

Mars’ song is starting.

Line up for this masquerade,

Young and old alike,

With golden coins on their eyes.

Come, join this parade!

Men and women alike,

Bring golden coins for your eyes.

Brothers in arms, together marching.

Thanatos is watching.

For he sings again,

While waiting

For their last grain.

Walk Forth, Shortie

For how long did I wait for you?

Minutes turned to hours,

And hours into eternities.

Once again, I am forced to walk ahead.

I must have faith

That one day

You’ll catch up

With my steps…

Current Tides

The current cannot be stopped.

The damps are broken;

The flood swallows us whole!

Will I ever be rid of these chains?

This milestone will not let me go!

Look out, here comes the flood!

My one true band,

Precipitated toward the ocean.

Ah! Deeper down I go!

Fruit of Life

Rise and fall,

Ebb and flow.

Day now glows.

Spring turns to Fall.

From Elias to Eliseo!

One left to Mars,

The other became worm food.

Ashes to ashes,

In death he gave you life

And for what?

You became

Society’s puppet

And God’s Marionette.

Break these binds!

Steal the fruit of life!

Chains

Gold, silver, iron and also bronze.

A tangled web of chains

Each new link, more rusted

Than the one that came before.

The same anchor connecting all.

The weakest link, now broken,

Discarded, alone it drifts,

The sands envelops it,

Never to be seen again.

Monument

Let us make a monument.

A wholesome place to lament.

Fill it with names,

Fill it with names.

The sun will always rise

Indifferent to our cries.

All we have is this second.

Look, forth, he beckons.

Time to write our name.

Earth won’t hide our shame.

The Water

Put your hand in the water.

Does it feel warm?

Take my hand,

The water is not so deep.

Got to sleep,

Travel to another land;

Where you won’t know harm.

Sink down, go deeper.

My dear, sleeper

Rest till dawn.

The birds have yet to awaken!

Your dreams will not be taken!

Does it feel warm?

Sink your head, in the water.

Take my hand,

Let’s go farther.

Take my hand,

Let’s go deeper,

Into the water.

Hidden Treasure

Hidden deep below

Lies a treasure.

Rubies and emeralds;

Gold rings by tons.

Its location

Only known by some!

There go those golden heralds,

Weighted down

By their golden chains.

Dig below to find

This hidden treasure.

Only then

You might know pleasure.

Break those rusted chains.

Escape from all your pains.

Golden rings, rusting by tons.

Rubies and emeralds

Covered with dust.

Drowning Trivia

Now here we come again,

Trying to reciprocate.

Baby, don’t go away.

Forget it,

Regret it.

The floodgate opens

Its water suffocates

Away your pain.

Swim up,

Climb up,

Baby, breathe again.

Don’t’ get in my way!

Greek Temple

Cold ruins, without color.

Pristine marble;

A single column

Bracing against the storm.

Callous maidens

Supporting the whole.

A breeze passes,

Carrying the echoes

Of a time gone by.

It screams, it breathes,

“Let there be light,

Part the left from the right.”

A rain, unbecoming,

Baptizes the ruins anew.

Their sings, white washed.

Can’t you hear their muted voices?

Listen, they are crying, “Justice”.

Flore Power

The bud has withered,

Stem, roots, and all.

Plucked from the ground;

It never made a sound!

A new flower blooms

In its place.

Its petals, golden,

Its fragrance, alluring,

It masks the smell

Of the flower that fell.

Prisoner

I am tired of this cage.

Where is the key?

I wonder for how long

I’ve stayed underground.

I do not see

The light of thee!

Why must I suffer?

What’s your point?

Truly, your works are wonders,

And the source of my misery!

What is the end your long for?

Let’s return to once before.

To a time before

I drank this bitter pill.

Please give me the key!

I want to live.

Let me see the sun again.

Bring an end to this pain!

The Beast

Behold, this desert.

No plains or dunes

Just sun.

Somehow the stars

Do not shimmer

At night.

The nearby city

Has swallowed

The moon.

The serpent has risen.

You must go be christen.

Leave this desert!

Here you won’t survive.

Enter his city.

Go there to receive his mark.

Your suffering has yet begun.

No more,

“I am sweet and innocent.”

You’ve not worth a cent,

You slave!

Bend over and labor!

If his pity allows,

You may share a meal

With his guard dogs.

If God be willing,

You may be chilling

In the master chamber.

The Future

I fought my way toward you,

Yet, my words do not reach you!

I am chained to Shakespeare,

I am bound to Lord Byron!

I haven’t a say, nor voice.

Listen to my silence…

The echo of your dreams;

The nightmare you can’t remember.

Keep your Byrons!

Bun your Shakespeare!

You can’t see

Past your own hand.

You are blinded by your pride.

I fought my way to you!

But I failed to reach you!

Get up

I do not see

The point, why get up in the morning?

To do the same thing,

Routines, comforting.

The rebirth of yesterday

And yet we age.

No, two trees

Ever bloomed the same.

Our hearts counting,

The fates laughing.

We can never live,

At most we may hamper his prowess.

But I digress.

I must get dressed

For my last parade!

Up the marble hill

We all go

To hear the last lies

Of our beloveds.

They never shared.

They never dared

To open this black box

Filled with maggots,

Worms and a hint of eternity.

So Very, Easy

It would be

Far too easy.

Red, black, yellow, white…

Choose left or right.

The eye flees

From the shadows.

It refuses to see

In the darkness.

The hand trembles

Seeking the on switch.

When the light returned

The eyes got blinded.

The eye cannot see

 The mouth cannot speak.

“Who is listening?

Who is there?”

You can no longer tell.

Look, a rainbow,

Glowing in the darkness.

Its source, unknown.

Time for you to choose

Your bane, your chains.

Yes, it would truly be very easy!

Two Birds

Won’t you come home with me, baby!

Don’t you know that I need you!

Let’s fly together

For we are two birds of a feather!

Let me take you

Outside this rosy garden.

We fought our way

Toward the present;

With the same thorn in our hearts.

With each heart beat

It pumps new venom.

Take the apple I offer baby.

Don’t you know that you’re blind?

Let’s break these chains.

The door lies open!

A new world beckons.

So what if you can’t fly?

It matter not

That our wings got plucked.

Go forth, take flight.

At least for three seconds

You might feel free!

Let’s fly together, baby.

I’ll be the wind

Behind your broken wings.

Let’s sing together, honey.

Sing of the blue sky,

Of the heaven we never saw.

Sing of a land

Beyond these iron bars!

Mist

The now seems infinite

Like a winter mist.

The same road stretches before me.

I wonder alone

In this mist.

From time to time

I bump against

A familiar face.

“Tell me, who are you? Your name?

I cannot seem to remember,

Alas, again you vanish!”

I know this road is finite.

When will I reach the end?

Each step, uncertain.

Forever, alone,

In this bloody mist.

The same faces

Come and go.

“I do not remember,

The last time I saw you.”

The Sins of Sodom

Dance to my tune,

Saving them is no fun.

My child’s heart wants to play.

For once, you will pay.

You cannot escape

Your sins, Sodom!

My music drowns your tears.

For a moment, you’ll forget your fears.

“I grow tired

Of the same music,

Of a world without magic.

Where only your saints

 Rise to heaven.

The end now beckons.

Time to erase your lies!”

Xenophobic Melody

Don’t you dare come knocking on my door.

I’ll throw you off the 2nd floor.

Do not plea, nor beg for mercy.

I am no charity,

My pockets must be full.

So get out of here, you fool!

I am tired of your face,

Why don’t you leave my place?

My back got broken

From toiling the ground

That you dare step.

Away with you, pest!

Your skeletal frame

Will not make me change.

Why must I give you

My family’s bread?

If you live, they will starve!

Life may be hard,

And you can’t find whom to blame.

Your cries fall on deaf ears.

Just get out of here!

Sacrifice

Blind us today,

So we may

Feel safe.

Now use your eyes.

Tell me,

What do you see?

Craft your laws

And philosophy.

See the world with those eyes.

From you, the truth does not hide.

We gave up our powers, for this?

Alas, I grow bored of this bliss.

I want to see again.

Your heart, your glow, your flame.
