My Yellow Rose Bush
Today, I am not feeling any better. In fact, I feel just a tad worse. I think I caught something a couple of days ago. It probably happened when we went to that shady Walmart or maybe it was at the gym. There is only so much one can do to avoid illness. One needs to live like a Hermit or the Sentinels to avoid it completely. I like the Sentinels, they are fun chaps. They do not let people mess around with them. People should be more like the Sentinels, maybe then there would not be too many wars....
My Roses Turning White
Today, I am not quite feeling it. I have a sore throat and this is making thinking and talking hard. I think it has something to do with the ice cream. It probably doesn’t. It has been circulating a bit in my house. Just a mild infection, nothing too serious I hope. I am not in a particular writing type of mood. I am not in a mood of anything really. Just passing the time till I feel a little better. My main rose bush seems inspired indeed. It is trying to grow new arms. I wanted to feed my...
Much Ado About Roses
Today, I wanted to return to the whole rose rant, but first I am going to give you a summery of what I did yesterday. The first thing I was to rant about nonsense. We went out for a second time to look for the acrylic paint my painter friend needed. Eventually, I was able to narrow down what he truly wanted. He needed Winsor and Newton, but was too ashamed to ask for good paint. Anyhow, our search brought us to a Walmart that was more of a Publix. We got paranoid and left for home. On the way,...
Gardening and then Some
Yesterday, we cleaned the house a bit. After debating it a bit, we decided to clean the bathroom with dish soap. Palmolive to be more exact. It ended up looking quite nice indeed. The problem with cleaning with Clorox is the smell. It is also not good for your lungs. Soap has been used for ages. I think anything else is just overkill. It is not as if we are a science lab trying to sterilize the equipment. At least with soap, it no longer hurts our noses. We have pretty sensitive noses. It runs in the family. When we...
Windy Flowers
I have been a little sad as of lately. Some of the flowers I have planted have started to die. The climbing vine in the patio looks terribly decrepit indeed. I wonder if I am watering it too much or too little. Some other small ones that are red and white also do not look too great. I think it has something to do with the sun and the wind. I have to pace myself with most things. I think I just over planted the main flower bed. Even if they croak, I am not going to add new flowers...
