Quintana Roo Mexico Beach at Sunset
It has been quite the couple of years since I visited Mexico. It is a good thing I took a lot of pictures. Peace there tends to be a bit of an illusion. However, there are times when it gets really bad. The Barcelo Hotel in Mexico is known by the locals as the US. They say that it is the least Mexican place in the entire country. So, if you want a genuine Mexican vacation, this is not the place to visit. Though frankly, risking one's life in genuine experiences is not worth it. Things gets worse in Mexico...
Miami Beach Landscape
This is one of my many Miami Beach Landscape photos. This one was taken close to sunset, beneath the shadow of one of the many Hotels there. Wherever the shadow falls, that part of the beach is going to be privatized. I guess it might work well for the tourists, but not for the locals. The hotels put too much faith in the power of outsiders and not enough on the business from the locals. Also, a lot of places like night clubs and restaurants depend on the locals for their business. I found Waldo in the Real World
When I was in the Florida Keys years ago, I found Waldo. He was just roaming through the crowd minding his own business. When I was little used to look through those magazines looking for the fellow. It was always interesting to look for Waldo. He was also at times behind the cereal box. So, here is Waldo caught with my camera. You folks see him, do you not. Halloween at the Florida Keys
A couple of years ago, some of mother's friends took us to the Florida Keys during Halloween. She went along with them because she was curious about the place. As for me, I went because I usually have to go everywhere with my folk. They do not like having fun without me. I spent most of my time taking photos of people as we walked about. Late Afternoon at the Florida Keys
This is a photo I took in Key West. It is the Southernmost point in the US. The place had a mouthful when Irma came. People tend to focus on the tragedies of other people and they forget there are people in need closer to home. I always worry about those nearest to me. People with the good Samaritan itch should not forget that there is hunger and poverty in the US. Those who say that there isn't should walk about the beaches at night. Just because you do not see suffering, it doesn't mean that it is not there. ...
