The Flowers in the Parrot Key
It is always fun to see a place that has an amassing landscaper. In the old Parrot Keys, there were only palms and trees. In the new version, there were plenty of new flowers. I took a photo of all of them. I am going to be posting them as I go along. The first one I want to feature is the orchid. Orchids look pretty amassing. I have one in a tree. It is slowly growing once again. I also saw some other flowers I cannot even name. Then again, I do not know much about flowers. I have...
More on the Parrot Key
I am still remembering my short vacation. It was nice not to focus on work stuff. I have been working on a silly painting and the like. There is also the issue with the books. Anyhow, the place was rather windy. The variety of the vegetation was just so interesting. There were not a lot of mosquitoes. I spent some time with my legs exposed and they were fine. I have mosquito skin. If they are mosquitoes, they are bound to eat my legs. When I returned home, some of my flowers were deflated. The yellow rosebush did seem to...
The Parrot Key After Irma
It has been almost nine years since my family went to the Parrot Keys. We have been roaming about the place waiting for a decent deal. This year they had a special for AAA members. We ended up with a 20 percent discount. The better deal was for a villa that came with two rooms. The only downside was the stairs. Still, we were used to climbing stairs since we used to live in Hialeah. The rooms were large and spacious. The place even came with a little kitchen and a living room. The first floor bathroom had a tub...
Silly White Flowers And the Like
A lot of the new plants I added have been dying as of lately. I do not know if it has something to do with the terrible soil or the mulch. I suppose I could try to make some organic compost. I do have all the necessary ingredients. I just seems like a bit of a hassle to bother with. I suppose I might try it eventually. I am in the middle of growing little seeds. They are all sour oranges. Then again, they say that a lot of cross pollination happens. Who knows what type of citrus plant I...
Gardening and Other Nonsense and the Like
For the last couple of days, I have been pretty mellowed out and the like. I wanted to have something inspiring to write or say. I have been a little bit distracted seeing nonsense on the TV. I am still working in the short stories. On average, the stories are about three pages long. Some of the later ones I was able to extend to 5 pages. Making long short stories is not the ideal goal. Anything ranging to the 40 page mark is already a novella. Short stories on a whole have to be ideally short. I first started...
