I did a new Hollow Knight fanart. This one features the Mantis Lords in Kimonos. At first, I was going to do random kimonos.
I decided to do an Ukiyo E print. These were massed produced art prints. They are the precursors of Mangas.
These prints also served as inspirations for impressionist painters. The print I chose is called Fresh breeze under the bridge Ryogoku Replica by Kitagawa Utamaro.
When I was looking for inspiration, I saw this cool print. The three maidens reminded me of the Mantis Lords.
So, I decided to use this print to make my Hollow Knight fanart. I think it came out rather nice looking. I tried to make the kimonos simple, but quite balanced.
