My First Harvested Bell pepper

On Christmas Eve, I harvested my first bell pepper. It was not red, but it felt like a good a time as any.
Bell peppers work well in any color. This was the biggest bell pepper from my entire garden. It had only three bumps, but it was still pretty nice.
They say that the ones with 4 bumps are the nicest, but mine was real nice. It had a strong bell pepper taste.
My mother cooked it with white rice. She then added black beans to the mix to make a great congri. I ate this congri as well. I used it to make my taco, burritos.
I should have taken a photo of my nice meal as well. It was a humble dinner, but a nice one. I think we finally are never going to need to buy bell peppers in the store.
If things go well, I might even be able to sell the surplus. My bell peppers did not have any pesticides either.
It helped a lot to plant them in the Fall. By the time Winter came, most of the bad bugs where dead, or hibernating. I suppose I can do this cause I live in South Florida.
It also helps to hand remove whatever bugs appears on the plants. All in all, the gardening thing is going well for a change.
The planter I had prepared is finally showing the saplings. When spring comes, I am going to have Mexican Sunflowers again.
I need to figure something out as far as giving them support. I will think of something or other. Aside from the bell peppers, the tomato vines finally have some tiny tomatoes.
They are looking amassing. I need to keep an eye out for those moths. It is a good thing that the night temperatures are a bit low, so they can’t bother the plants.
I also have my very own bat roost. They live in the main tree. So, it is all good. I am getting better as a farmer girl. I hope you like these two photos I took of my bell pepper.
