Today, I felt like doing a Hollow Knight painting parody. After looking through all my options, I decided to do parody of Saturn Devouring his Own Children by Goya. Goya was a Spanish painter from Spain who went crazy after Napoleon massacred his people. He had a firsthand view of the terrors of war, and naturally that affected his psyche. The Grubfather in the Hollow Knight devours all his children after you finish rescuing them. You hear them still alive inside his belly. Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day. I spent the entire morning brainstorming a good Valentine’s Day blog post. In the end, I decided to make it a Hollow Knight parody. Unlike my usual parodies, this one is based on a Marilyn Monroe movie called Gentlemen Prefer them Blonde. Above, you can see the still shot I used in order to make my drawing. The Creation of the Pure Vessel Hollow Knight Painting Parody
Today, I wanted to draw something fun. So, I made a painting parody of Michelangelo’s The Creation of Adam. This painting parody features Hollow Knight characters. The Pale King is creating the Pure Vessel. I placed Hornet under his armpit as a stand in for Eve. The rest of the characters are his other brats. Zote is included with the other children of the Pale King. He uses a wooden sword because he never got past the training stage. So, he never got a true nail. This is just all suppositions.
