Today, I did a new Hollow Knight painting parody. It had been a while since I did an art parody.
After looking through some artworks, I settled for the painting of Judith with the Head of Holofernes. This artwork was done by Artemisia Gentileschi.
This painting shows a scene from the Old Testament. One day the Israelites get attacked by Holofernes and his army.
In order to help her people, the widow Judith dolls herself up and she sneaks into the enemy camp. She seduces the enemy general.
When Holofernes takes her to his bedchamber, Judith decapitates him with the help of her maid.
In this painting, Judith is trying to sneak off with the head of the general. Her maid is stuffing the head in a bag. They are tense because they are still in enemy territory.
In the Hollow Knight version, two Mantis sisters decapitated the Knight Hegemol. Hegemol had come down with the Pale King’s army to subjugate the Mantis Tribe.
In response, Two Mantis Lords disguised themselves as Courtesans. The oldest sister seduced Hegemol with her Mantis dance.
Once, she got him drunk and tired, she chopped his head off. In my drawing, the Mantis Lord is using a Nail instead of a spear.
The sisters had to enter the enemy camp unarmed, in order to get close to Hegemol. So, they had to chop off his head with whatever they could find.
In the Hollow Knight game, nobody knows how Hegemol kicked the bucket. This is painting shows what happened to him: Mantises sliced off his head.
I hope you find my new Hollow Knight fanart amusing. My name is Teresita Blanco, the Artsy Sister. Bye, bye and God bless.
