painting, self portrait, watercolor -

Today, I wanted to show you my latest watercolor self-portraits. I was mimicking the styles of two interesting surrealism painters. I chose those two paintings to mimic because they were the color blue. I was studying what I could do with just the color blue. The first painting I wanted to show you was made by Zdislav Beksinski. He does dystopian surrealism, but he has other paintings that fall under different umbrellas. This Polish painter is unique. Most of his paintings are Untitled. What you see is what you get. I like studying the works of painters that have unique...

I made a new Hollow Knight fanart. This one is themed after the movie the Hangover. If you haven’t seen the movie, go watch it. If you don’t want to watch it, I am just going to give you the gist of the plot. Four guys go to party in Las Vegas. The following day they wake up with a serous Hangover. They don’t remember anything. Their room is a mess and one of their friends has gone missing. For the rest of the film, they are trying to find their missing friend.   In my version, the collector, Nightmare...

Today, I wanted to show you my two new self-portraits. Both paintings were made with watercolors and markers. I used markers for the skin. It saves me the trouble of having to blend for skin tone. Rendering human skin with paint is a bit hard. It wastes as lot of paint trying to get it just right. So, for the sake of time, I used skin tone markers. I blend them together as I apply them in order to get the skin tone I am going for. The first painting is Salvador Dali’s Soft Self Portrait. He was often melting...

alcohol ink, painting -

Today, I wanted to show you my three new ink arts. The first one worth mentioning is supposed to invoke a meteor shower. I used a mold in order to make the ice centers. I first painted the silvery edges with plenty of ink. I used rubbing alcohol to make the paint flow a little better. Rubbing alcohol combines well with alcohol ink. The problem is obviously the smell. Try to have ventilator on in order to keep the fumes from rising up and hitting your face.   I would advise you to use a mask, but the one I...

alcohol ink, painting -

Today, I wanted to show you my latest Alcohol ink art. I made two paintings using my smallest canvases. They are themed after wood. I used Pixiv paper and ink. They combine well together. The first painting I was trying to invoke the interior of a sliced piece of wood. I started by creating strong circular bubbles. On the edges, I added a nice wash of brown ink. I first added a lot of rubbing alcohol in the edges before putting the paper horizontally.   This created the soft brown ink patterns. Once it finished dripping to the bottom, I...
