A couple of hours ago, Florida had a little Tropical Storm named Eta. The storm first passed by Cuba, which was a good thing. Cuba has tiny mountains. They were useful enough to weaken the Tropical Storm before it came to South Florida.
This Tropical Storm did a number on Mexico. I pray that God helps the Mexicans from the Riviera Maya. I like Mexico, and the Mexicans. They don’t let folks mess with them. That is something worth respecting. In any case, Tropical Storm Eta also brought flooding to Florida.
I guessed that it could cause problems in South Florida, as well. In order to prepare for it, I threw some fertilizer to the main tree. I did that last time there was a major Hurricane. It worked in Irma. When I threw fertilizer at the tree, it sucked up the water pretty quickly.
This helped prevent flooding in my house. The only downside to it is that the tree will get significantly bigger. Still, only trees with poor root system fall on houses. I have a good relationship with my silly tree. If has roots under the cement of the parking lot.
As such, it will not drop due to heavy winds. It also survived Irma, so I feel confident about its future. In any case, the fertilizer trick is a trick worthy trying out. If you know there is major rains coming throw fertilizer to the trees to see if they take care of the problem.
Trees are experts at eating up water. This could all be nonsense. Perception is reality as such. So, you are welcome to think that I am a little crazy. In any case, I wanted to show you how the tomatoes and Bell peppers where progressing. I also made a little video about it.
The rains have been good to my little crops. I even got little seedlings blooming. The net was useful for keeping the little plants safe from the birds. I think now I will have to replant a couple to give them more room.
I will get around to that tomorrow. On the meantime, enjoy this nice photo featuring the fruits of my labor.
So far, there have not been any fruits, but at least the plants look big. I think I have a bright future as a subsistence farmer. More folks should get into that nonsense. It is good for peace of mind, if anything else.
