Pouring Paintings with Black, Green and Gold Backgrounds
Most folks just stick to classical white pouring painting backgrounds. It is just easy to work with. White paint is like super cheap. Sometimes you see black backgrounds, but not often other colors. I mainly used black backgrounds for these sets of acrylic pouring paintings. They where useful for making the colors stand out. Colors tend to look a bit more muted when placed against white backgrounds. So, if you are working with patterns a black, or any other colorful background might be useful. This time, I did not do a video tutorial. I am not a big...
Mini Canvases Acrylic Pouring Paintings
For the last month, I have been working a bit on my pouring paintings. I had already some pre mixed pouring paints. Still, the paints said you needed to get some medium into them. The medium everyone online kept pointing to was floetrol. I got myself a bottle of it to try it out. I can easily say that it was not my cup of tea. It had a compatibility issue with all my paints. This sucked considering the fact that I had plenty of paints to choose from. I tend to get from a bunch of...
My Next Little Series of Pouring Paintings

The final round dots were added one droplet at a time. I used a syringe to add the color droplets. The colors had a bit of water in the mix. I...
My First Set of Pouring Paintings
Over the last couple of days, I was looking up tutorials for pouring paintings. With the videos, it did go a little better than my first try at that medium. Since I was still practicing, I decided to do tiny paintings. I usually prefer smaller paintings, because it uses up less paint. With larger works, I start getting desperate, and annoyed. I had that first feeling about it, when I painted the Virgin Mary. I used my first big canvas. It took about two weeks to complete the painting. I even started to get a little bit nervous with my...
