Today, I wanted to show you my latest pouring paintings. The videos for all these paintings are already up and about in Youtube and Tiktok.

I used wooden panels for these pouring paintings. The smooth surface helps the paint flow better. It saves me the trouble of having to dilute so much my paints.

I took two photographs of these paintings. The first set of photographs show the dry paintings. The finished results sometimes look a little different.

Other times, the variation isn’t much. This time I dried the paintings indoor. It was raining so I wasn’t able to dry them outside.

If you dry your paintings outside, the Florida moisture sometimes causes the paintings to crack.

Other times, the cracks in the paint appear due to the different types of pouring mediums fighting with each other. I made these paintings with the new pouring materials that I had ordered.

I wanted to add a little bit of more variety to my paintings. I also got some new swipe tools. They are the things you use to add groves to the cake.

You can also use those tools for your pouring paintings. They add nice groves and patterns. I started my pouring session with my slanted pouring paintings.

I have already done a couple of versions of this type of painting. This time I went for a warm combination.

It was all a matter of allowing the gravity to do its thing. The second painting I made it using a cake swipe tool. I added random colors before combing the painting.

I didn’t fuzz about painting the entire canvas. The white gesso in the bottom helped to complete the painting. Once I allowed the paint to settle, it spread around a little more.

The floral painting was made with a little bottle cap, and four clumps of clay. I used the clay to create the openings to allow the flower to form.

When I removed the mold, I allowed for the paint to flow into the middle. I used a needle to pull the paint towards the middle. I think overall it ended up looking pretty neat.

It is a beautiful 4 petal, flower. You can use clay to make your own molds. Like so, you can control how many petals your flower has. The final painting was a Pan flag.

That flag only has three colors. I used a comb to give the painting a nice wavy pattern. The problem was that the hot pink completely dominated the blue and golden colors.

So, if I make another painting like the Pan Flag, I need to remember to use less pink, and more gold and blue.

It is all a learning experience. The more pouring paintings you make, the more you learn how to work with this form of expression.

I think I ranted enough about my pouring paintings. You can expect to see more pouring paintings in the near future.

As far as figurative art, I am still making butterfly paintings. So, there is also that to look forward to.

My name is Teresita Blanco, the Artsy Sister. Bye, bye and God bless. I will probably stay home all week. The weather has just been awful. I haven’t been able to visit my garden in a long while.
