Cantina Catrina in Dadeland Mall Foodie Restaurant Review
Last weekend, we ate at Cantina Catrina. We always pass by that restaurant whenever we go out shopping. After reading the menu, we finally got curious enough to go eat at this Mexican restaurant. The first thing worth mentioning is the look of the place. It is themed after Dia de Los Muertos. It has a lot of fun skull decorations. In the front of the store, there is a statue of Catrina’s ghost, welcoming you to her Cantina. Her skull form has a bit of a Frida Kahlo vibe. I would imagine that this is what Frida looks like...
Game Review: Valkyrie Profiles 2, Infinite Undiscovery, Final Fantasy
Tri-Ace: Valkyrie Profiles 2 Game Review I have been waiting for Valkyrie Profiles 3 for the last 10 years. The third part was supposed to be for Hrist. I guess the old gal never got her game. She will always be stuck playing second fiddle. Anyhow, the second part was about a princess named Alicia. She was the reincarnation of the Valkyrie Silmeria. Due to a fluke, her body was already taken and there were two Valkyries on earth at once. This was forbidden. Since it was Hrist’s turn, she wanted Alicia dead. The game features both Alicia’s personalities. As...
Marilyn Monroe Skirt Hollow Knight Emilitia Parody
I did a new Hollow Knight Marilyn Monroe Parody. In this one, I am making fun of the famous Marylin Monroe photo where her skit is lifted up by a gust of wind. The wind is coming up from the sewer. So, I guess the Ninja Turtles where down there with a fan, waiting for the woman to stand on top of them. In my version, I am using Emilitia as a stand in for Marylin Monroe. This isn’t the first time I have drawn Emilitia as Marilyn. I feel that of all the Hollow Knight characters, she would be...
Game Reviews: Star Ocean, Shadow Hearts, The Witcher 3, Guitar Hero
Star Ocean Integrity and Faithlessness Game Review I got the new star ocean game just two days ago. Overall, I have been having a lot of fun. The one main thing I would change about the game is the main character’s name. The bastard is called Fidel. Everytime, I hear his name I cannot help but think of Fidel Castro, so it is a bit annoying. Another thing I did not like was the saved spots. I wish this game would get with the program. It is called Autosave. It works a lot better than safe spots. For those that...
Game Review: Uno, Yugioh, Pokemon, Monopoly, Chess and more
Uno card game Review I first started playing Uno when I was in middle school. My ESOL teacher did not feel like teaching us English, so she brought out this game instead. It was a good way to pass the time, if nothing else. I would also play it during class parties. These parties took place before a big vacation day, or if my teacher had a hangover or something. The game was invented in 1971 by Merle Robbins from Cincinnati. The game has been a Mattel brand since 1992. The good thing about the game is that it can...
