My Favorite Sci Fi Anime Shows
The list features anime shows that do not have Giant Mechs. The mech blog I already made. There are mechs in some of these sci fi shows. However, the main characters do not pilot those robots. They are the antagonist. Without any more introduction, time to talk about sci fi anime shows. The first one is Angel Cop. It has a lot of Akira elements. Even the final boss rides a chopper, like Tetsuo. I think that is what he was called. Bubblegum Crisis features maidens in robot suits. They fight boomers or robots that go nuts for various reasons....
My Favorite Giant Mecha Anime Shows
Aquarion had pretty interesting mech mechanics. The pilot’s powers gets transferred to the mechs. It can even do vampire moves with a vampire pilot. The main bad guys are angels. Blue Gender is Star Ship troopers but with mechs. Break Blade are magic bots. Code Geass was made by Clamp. It has the worst chess game in the history of chess games. It breaks my heart. Cross Ange is robots vs dragons. Very amusing. The final boss was weird. Eureka 7 is about an alien and a human fighting to convince their mech that they are worthy of piloting it....
My Favorite Sci Fi Games
Alien Isolation is liked playing hide and seek. The alien learns your favorite hiding spots. So, it gets harder to hide, if you do not keep things fresh. Armored Core 6 has a lot of mech customizations. It also plays like a visual novel. Depending on what mission you do, it is the branching path. You need to replay the game a couple of times to see the complete work. Cyber Shadow has some difficult platforming and some megaman elements. Devil Engine is a bullet hell, with emphasis on hell. Megaman is pretty amassing. I didn’t want to make it...
Games that Render Food Well
I am in a bit of a hungry type of mood. So, I decided to do a blog about games that render food well. By well, I mean in a way that makes you hungry. The first one is Final Fantasy 15. They went for a hyper realistic type of view. The legend Zelda breath of the wild is a bit more fantasy. You can throw a fairy into the pot to make a meal. She flies away, but her fairy dust gives your food an extra buff. Little dragon café is all about overfeeding your dragon. It looks pretty...
Reading in Western Art
Reading as been depicted in Western Art as early as the Ancient Greeks. Both men and women of the aristocracy read. In medieval times, the literacy rate decreased. Now, only monks and nuns had the ability to read. Since they produced most of the arts, medieval times showed for the most part religious folks reading the Bible. In Renaissance paintings, the Virgin Mary appeared often reading. During the baroque period, women reading letters became quite the popular subject matter. They were perceived as being gossipy bunch. They also read novels. Once we got to the impressionism period, there came a...
