Black Friday Bonus BJD Doll Photoshoot
On Thanksgiving, the lights went out. A drunk guy hit a post and it took out all the power in the block. All the Thanksgiving food spoiled or went undercook. So, that was a big waste of 100 bucks. The night fell and we still had no power. Under those circumstances, I felt powerless. All joking aside, it was a good thing we had a few candles lying about. We slept with very little clothing and a lot of heat. The Nintendo Switch was at least useful for passing the time a bit. Still, it is...
Artsy Sister Reviews Mojo Donuts
In South Florida, there is a donut Franchise called Mojo Donuts. They specialize in making Gourmet donuts. I developed a taste for donuts thanks to the Simpsons. I used to order from the usual places, Donkin Donuts and Crispy Cream. One day, I was browsing through Uber Eats when I saw Mojo Donuts. I was drawn to the fanciness of the donuts. I ended up getting 12 donuts the first time. I had underestimated the size of those donuts. These days I only get a box of six donuts, 3 for me and 3 for my brother. Since I am...
Anime Girl Leaning Forward Drawing
This is my latest practice drawing. It is an anime girl leaning forward. I was trying to sketch a Michelangelo sitting pose. I think I did a proper execution. I try to draw every once in a while, in order not to lose practice. My latest drawing project is progressing at a slug’s pace. With the holidays, the desire to get procrastinate grows by the day. Well…there isn’t much to say about this drawing. I drew it with fineliner pens and coloring pencils. Enough said. Bye.
Thanksgiving BJD Doll Ringdoll Photoshoot
Today, I dusted off the new background I had made specifically for a my ringdoll Ange. Since she is so small, she needs a smaller background to work with. I also got a few miniatures furniture, and a bunch of food props. I had all the elements to make a proper Thanksgiving photoshoot. My one regret is that I didn’t have a Turkey dinner prop. It is too late to order one. One lives and learns, I suppose. Then again, Turkey isn’t a mandatory meal for Thanksgiving. It is what you want to make of it. This is...
Artsy Sister Visits the Miami Van Gogh Exhibit
This Saturday I visited the Van Gogh Exhibit. The Exhibit took place in the Gusman Center in 174 E Flagler St. Getting to the venue was an interesting experience, in it of itself. The street in front of the Gusman Center was being repaired. We had to park a block away in order to make it to the exhibit. In Miami, they are always destroying and reconstructing streets. Even with a GPS, you still get lost because Google doesn’t know which streets are being blocked. Enough about the driving situation. The interior of the building had a lot of beautiful...
