Today, I wanted to show you my latest ink art. They were made with Pixiss ink and paper. I was just making whatever. I didn’t even use a color wheel.   I applied the colors according to my mood. I started by saturating the paper with rubbing alcohol. I activated the ventilator to help it dry quicker. With the soaked paper, I added the inks.   I took two types of photographs. One features the dry painting. The other has the wet painting. The wet ink art usually looks different than the finished product.   This is most noticeable in...

Today, I chose Star Wars for my Hollow Knight fanart. I swapped out Leia and Luke for Hornet and the Chibi Knight. Hornet calls him Ghost. I think that it is a bit rude. He is alive and well. He is even somebody’s mother. I am talking about the Grimm Child. He can’t be a ghost if he has a child. All stupid jokes aside this is the poster that I made. I zoomed into the characters a bit. There was a lot of dead space in the original Star Wars poster. I used the Black Egg as a stand...

I made two new watercolor artworks. I first drew the pencil art. I inked them, before adding watercolor. The first painting was done Julian Schnabel style. Schnabel is an American painter and filmmaker. He is still alive and well.   So, good for him. His style is Neo-Expressionism. It was interesting to make the fragmented style of this artwork. I added a lot of black ink in order to achieve this effect. The painting that I was mimicking was called in Andy’s Shadow. In my version, I am in the shadow of Julia. Julia is the name of my grandma....

I made two new watercolor self-portraits. They imitate the style of Vilen Barsky and Alla Horska. Both reference paintings are in black and white. My version has color. I do not like the monochrome look. It looks a bit unfinished. It is for this reason that I added color to my self-portraits.   The first painting shows Vilen Barsky’s wife. I cropped the reference material. I needed to make it a long vertical painting. Vertical paintings look better on Tiktok. Like all my artworks, I first drew the pencil, then I added ink over it. I erased the pencil lines...

Today, I did a new Hollow Knight painting parody. It had been a while since I did an art parody. After looking through some artworks, I settled for the painting of Judith with the Head of Holofernes. This artwork was done by Artemisia Gentileschi.   This painting shows a scene from the Old Testament. One day the Israelites get attacked by Holofernes and his army. In order to help her people, the widow Judith dolls herself up and she sneaks into the enemy camp. She seduces the enemy general.   When Holofernes takes her to his bedchamber, Judith decapitates him...
