Butterflies on Mexican Sunflowers Watercolor Paintings
I did two watercolor paintings featuring Mexican Sunflowers. These little sunflowers attract a bunch of different butterflies to my garden. I reworked two photographs into the paintings you see above. The first shows the Sunflower in full bloom. The second painting shows that even a withered flower still attracts butterflies. Today, I was in the mood to paint a floral painting. In the old days, I used to make these simple paintings with acrylics. This time I did it on watercolor paper. Islamorada Nature Photography Travel
I wanted to show you some of the cute flower photos I took. I was in Islamorada for a bit, and I got to take a lot of nice photos of cute flowers. Most of them were taken in the Theater of the Sea. The place had a lot of cute flowers, especially orchids. There were not a lot of bees or mosquitoes. I guess the mutant mosquitoes managed to drop the regular mosquito population. Islamorada Tropical Flowers
During my trip to Islamorada, I took a decent number of photos of tropical flowers. Some were native, others were planted by the owners of the establishments. Orchids seem to grow well in that location. Then again, it has been raining a lot. Rain and heat work well for orchids. Aside from photographing orchids, I also took care to look at other pretty plants. I always find soothing to look at flowers. The one thing that I do not like are bees. I have yet to be bitten by a bee. I want to avoid having that experience....
