Pouring Pride Flag Art: Intersex, Polyamory, Drag Queen, Transgender
(Intersex Flag) For this Pride month, I made a bunch of pouring paintings based on Pride Flags. The first batch of paintings feature intersex, polyamory, drag queen and transgender flags. The intersex flag is the purple and gold flag. In its original form, it is a purple circle without a cross or an arrow. This is a relatively new pride flag, with a simple design. Today, I wanted to show you my latest watercolor butterfly paintings. I try to paint two of these watercolor paintings per week. It is a nice change of pace from my regular art projects. Priam’s Birdwing Butterfly and Others Watercolor Painting
It is so difficult to identify butterflies when you only have a photograph to work with. It was easy for me to guess what they were if I photographed them in the wild. The ones you see in these two watercolor paintings were photographed in the Key West Butterfly preserve. Today, I made a new Hollow Knight fanart. After looking through a bunch of famous paintings, I decided to do a reference to a famous Van Eyck Painting called the Arnolfini Portrait or Wedding. This painting is famous because of all the small details in the portrait. The original shows a couple in their bedchamber. They are about to consummate their union. Both are barefooted as shown by the shoes scattered about the bedroom. The wife is in the process of raising her skirt, to show her willingness to reproduce with her husband.
