Beautiful Flowers: Roses and Other Cuties
Today, I wanted to write a little short blog about flowers. It doesn’t matter where I go. If I see a flower, I am compelled to photograph it. I didn’t see too many flowers variety when I was down in Mexico. There were a few interesting ones here and there. The entrance to Xcaret also had an interesting looking flower bowl. All in all, I didn’t photograph that many flowers. I suppose that the summer heat did a number on the flowers. The place was practically boiling in some places, like the Mayan Pyramids of...
Hollow Knight The Hangover The Bugover Fanart
I made a new Hollow Knight fanart. This one is themed after the movie the Hangover. If you haven’t seen the movie, go watch it. If you don’t want to watch it, I am just going to give you the gist of the plot. Four guys go to party in Las Vegas. The following day they wake up with a serous Hangover. They don’t remember anything. Their room is a mess and one of their friends has gone missing. For the rest of the film, they are trying to find their missing friend. In my version, the collector, Nightmare...
Sazon Cubano Restaurant Travel Miami Beach Flans and Three Milks
Today, I wanted to write about what I ate this weekend. I went up to Miami Beach with my family. Once the rains came, we got like super hungry. So, we decided to eat at Sazon Restaurant. They are under new management, so the food is a little different. We started with the appetizers, mariquitas. They are chips made of banana. You have two choices of dip: mojo and black beans grounded into a fine paste. Mother had pork and my brother had a sandwich. Mine was made of chicken. It was really yummy, with all the elements in...
BJD in Navy Blue Summer Ensemble Photos
Today, I wanted to show you my latest bjd doll photoshoot. I have my tiny doll Mein dressed in a cute blue outfit. She is ready to go have fun by the beach side. I did a bit of photo manipulation in some of the shots. I focused on the color blue. I had a bit of a problem forcing the camera to focus on the close-up portrait shots. I do not know why it has such an issue with small dolls. In any case, it was an interesting effort to try to work around...
Surrealism Self Portrait: Dali and Magritte Style Watercolor Paintings
Today, I wanted to show you my two new self-portraits. Both paintings were made with watercolors and markers. I used markers for the skin. It saves me the trouble of having to blend for skin tone. Rendering human skin with paint is a bit hard. It wastes as lot of paint trying to get it just right. So, for the sake of time, I used skin tone markers. I blend them together as I apply them in order to get the skin tone I am going for. The first painting is Salvador Dali’s Soft Self Portrait. He was often melting...
