I wanted to tell you about my favorite landscape painters. I also show you 5 of my favorite paintings by each of the artists. The first is Caspar David Friedrich. He is a German painter.  He painted from 1774 to 1840.

He was a romanticist painter. He wanted to convey an emotion using landscapes as a subject matter. He often paints gloomy or spooky subjects. He tended to suffer from Chronic depression.

Later in his life, he isolated himself from his friends in order to paint. The second painter I want to show you is Childre Hassam. He is an American impressionist painter. He lived from the 1859 to 1935.

He made more than 3000 paintings. He also did landscapes and cityscapes. I find his flag paintings quite amusing. The third painter I want to show you is Eyvind Earle. He was born in 1916 and he died in 2000.

When he was a child, he got polio. This reduced his mobility a lot. As a result, he picked up painting. Aside from painting, he made Disney movie backgrounds. The most famous of the lot are the backgrounds for Sleeping Beauty.

It is a pity that such a cute movie went underappreciated in its time. His work leans more towards abstraction. The fourth painter is Frederic Edwin Church. He was born in 1826 and he died in the year 1900.

He belonged to the Hudson River School. He would travel the American wilderness documenting nature, with his paintings. He would use his artwork to lobby for the creation of National Parks.

Thanks to his lobbying, Yellowstone National Park came into being. The final painter worth mentioning is Ivan Aivazovsky. He was a Russian painter, who made seascapes for the Navy.

He was said to have photographic memory. He lived from 1817 to 1900. During his extensive career, he made more than 6000 paintings. I wanted you to know of him because of his awesome seascapes.

I also respect how many artworks he made. Anyhow, there is a video blog of these artworks in my Artsy Sister Youtube channel. Please give a like and subscribe. My name is Teresita Blanco, the Artsy Sister. Bye, bye and God bless.
