Abstract in Purple

This is a new acrylic painting that I made a week ago. I felt like making a pure abstract painting. The poses make reference to ballet. Still, when my brother saw it he thought it was about Star Wars. Now, I am looking at the shapes and I think I see it too. I suppose there is nothing too far out there. It is boring just to talk about it.
The background was purple because I had already used up orange. I want to use up all colors of my set before moving onto another one. As of now, I am working on a fairy pair. I do not think I will draw shapes anytime in the future. I do not know what possessed me to try this type of painting.
It only took like a day to complete this simple looking painting. The colors used in this painting were designed to compliment one another. Last night, it was like super scary. There was a tornado in Hialeah. It is a good thing we no longer live there. There was one in Cuba too. My mother was talking with her childhood painter friend.
He started asking about the windows shacking. He felt that it would be safer to hide in the bathroom. Mother casually told him, dude, it sounds like a tornado. The thing is that Cuba never had a tornado. It was its first one and it was a total mess with the rescue cars and the doctors asking for blood.
A different friend who was also a Journalist took a photo of it. It looked like an F2 or an F3. It went from Havana to the adjacent town. I think this is just about it as far as yesterday is concerned. I hope you find this little anecdote interesting.
