At the last moment, we got an offer to stay at this resort for one night for 200 bucks.
It seemed like too much of a sweet deal to pass up, so we drove down to Islamorada.
We had already been there before, so there aren’t that many new things for me to tell you about. This time they gave us a room with a door that closed.
So, that was an improvement from the last visit. We spent the entire time in the pool. There was a floater that someone had left behind.
We used it for a bit. After floating about for three hours, we got really hungry. We went to the Seafood Feast Restaurant.
That Restaurant Buffet is within walking distance of the Resort. We were going to go to Wahoo Bar and Grill, but we saw a bunch of ambulances parked up front, so get paranoid about the place.
We finished our meal around sunset. Unlike our last visit, we spent a lot of time outdoors. I took a decent amount of nighttime photography.
The private beach in front of the hotel is pretty nice, and pretty dark. It is the perfect place to get one’s throat slit.
All joking aside, the darkness provided an excellent view of the stars. There were folks even night fishing.
We lingered there for a couple of hours, until it started getting a little chilly. There was also this white bird or bat flying around us.
So, we felt that it was a good a time as any to return to our room. The shower situation in the bedroom was good. The room even included a microwave.
The special offer came with free breakfast. In order to get something, you have to show up early because it is a first come, first served type of scenario. At night, we saw some regular television.
Most of it was commercials with a few movie scenes sprinkled throughout. The pillows of the bed were actually comfortable for a change.
This is a rare thing indeed. The following morning checked out and we returned home. Unlike our first visit, this one was better.
I made good memories, and you could too. Well, I ranted enough about this place. I am Teresita Blanco, the Artsy Sister. I also write books. Take care.
