Chuchu and Puppies

Every Christmas we start desiring to get a dog. We are usually almost there, but then we change our mind. When we were little we had THE dog. The dog is the name we use to refer to a true dog. There are some animals that we do not consider a dog. The Chihuahua is one of them. They are annoying, needy little bastards.
They poop and pee a lot, despite their small stature. From time to time, the office smells like them. We did not leave them outside cause we got paranoid. We did not want a fellow to steal them. I took care of the mother and puppies for one of mother’s friends. I took care of those dogs a lot. The chihuahua mother did not like feeding them.
She would run away from the kids when given the change. I practically had to hold the dog down, to force her to feed her puppies. I would pet her and tell her she was a good dog. I hoped that by doing so, she would see that it was a good thing to look after her kids. The dog Chuchu was attention starved. I was even able to rename her. Whenever she would hear me call her by that name, she would come and run to me.
She would spend hours lying next to me. From time to time, she would give a sigh of contempt. Most people be all about puppies. I prefer a full grown dog. Once they are big, there are no surprises. Even a teenage dog, is tolerable. However, puppies require far too much attention. In order to take care of the Chihuahuas I did a lot of research.
I read that they grow faster than regular puppies. In a month, they doubled their size. One day, I started to worry about their development. It was around New Years. Since I could not count on Chuchu to do the right thing, I started teaching the puppies about water. I wetted my fingers and then had them bite them. Slowly, they got a taste for drinking water.
Once they drank water regularly, I got them to try food. People normally say to give them puppy food. Still, I do not believe in baby food or in puppy food for that matter. It is the same grain, and milk to boot. The only difference is that it is softened up. The puppies took to eating the mother’s food.
Close to the end of the month, we started to run out of their government approved food. By then, they seemed like full fledge puppies. I think I did a good job getting them their though that stage of their life. I recently visited the owner of the puppies. The brown one that I liked is alive and well. His siblings were given away. One of them is living the life in Mexico. He ended up looking like a furry Chihuahua.
This was Chuchu’s third litter. All the other puppies had died in the past. Part of the issue was that the owner thought Chuchu was smothering the puppies. Chuchu was doing the exact opposite. I had to keep an eye on the dog to make certain she fed her puppies at least trice a day. Eventually, they got rather lively and healthy.
I took a bunch of photos of the puppies and even a couple of videos. At first, I found them to be completely annoying. I still find them annoying. There were many days when they gave me a headache. They were the main reason why last Christmas we did not any dogs. We were like this close to getting one. In the end, we left it back in the store.
The douches from Petland wanted us to finance a dog. When did dog ownership get so expensive? There is an issue with dogs in the US. I think their prices are overinflated. Then again, I am a bit of a cat person. Nobody in the States cares about cats. In the pound, you can get 6 cats for the price of one dog. As of now, I am still trying to befriend the neighbor’s cat.
He is still afraid of us. I think it is because we are a bit of a disappointment. I think it used to live here, but when the owner died he got taken in by the neighbors. We always find it fudging around the garden. It is an annoying little pest. Part of the reason why I do not want a pet is because I am a nice person. I know that they will consume my time.
I would be focused on it, instead of myself. Then again, it might be a good treatment for melancholy. From time to time, I do get possessed by negative emotions. They are usually more common during Xmas time. All the bad things usually occurred during the winter. I do not want to think much about it. I think I might go on more about dogs and whatnot.
For now, I am going to show you some of the old photos I took of the puppies last year. Hopefully, I will go on more about them in the near future. It is a nice change of pace. I think I want a dog, but I also do not want a dog. Maybe I want a dog that doesn’t poop, pee or bite my favorite things. Then again, what I prefer is a full grown dog instead of a puppy.
Puppies are so annoying, aren’t they? I would not be opposed to getting a grown dog. I would prefer a female dog, cause male dogs tend to be a tad annoying. It was fine when we were kids, but now we have grown to lazy adults. I just do not want to go outside my house as all.
Everything outdoors is terrible, and the people are even more annoying. Don’t take this personal. I just want to abstract myself in my own little mental world. I think I am going to do my hair soon. Later, I am going to see about drawing that new front cover for my book Deasura. It is going to get published like real soon. For now, enjoy these couple of cute dog photos.
