As of lately, I have been trying to practice a bit with clay. I am trying to get decent enough to make props for the doll show. Among the props, I want the dolls to play bizarre musical instruments.

It seemed like a good idea at the time. Anyhow, while I am still in the planning stages, I can at least show you the progress of the music instrument anime drawings.

This one is the slide whistle. A lot of kids like to play with this musical instrument. It works a bit like the Trombone. The modern slide whistle was invented around the 1840s.

The acoustic version is actually a lot older. It originated in Africa, and it was made of cane. Since those older whistles where made of biodegradable materials, it is pretty hard to date when it was invented in Africa.

The instrument eventually became quite popular in Jazz band. It was used for Special effect purposes. All in all, the slide whistle is still used as a gimmick. Folks should take it a little bit more serious.

I think this about it as far as my nonsense is concerned. The drawing was made with fineliners, and the ever useful coloring pencils.

It takes all kinds, but they are at least useful as far as nonsense is concern. You do not need expensive art supplies to make decent anime drawings. I hope you find this information useful.
