The first one I wanted to mention is Carmilla. She is a lady vampire. Bram Stoker stole a lot from this book. At least the beginning. He changed a few things here and there. Both stories are from the point of view of the victim of the vampire.

Then again, it was rare to see the point of view of the monster. Dealing with Dragons is about a Princess who runs away to live with a dragon. She wants to decide her own life for herself. It is a slice of slice of life fantasy book.

Stefan Zweig’s Fear is a lot of fun. It is about a cheating lady in the 1920s getting stalked by a blackmailer. Her husband is a judge. So, naturally she is afraid of how her judgmental husband is going to react to her infidelity.

Jane Ayre is fun with the exception of the ending. It really bummed me out. Why did the little girl also have to die? Plus, why did her lover have to be extra toasty as well. Lachesis was fun.

It is about a maiden becoming a Greek Goddess to resurrect her husband. Miss Betty is the classical woman trying to change a bad guy who really doesn’t deserve her love.

However, she has a life dept she must repay, since the guy saved her from drowning. Sabriel is a cool necromancer story. The House of Bernarda Alba is more of a play than a book.

I read it in book format. It is about Alba driving her daughters and mother insane. The last one is Therese Raquin by Emile Zola. This one is a murder mystery. Therese murders her husband with the help of her lover.

For the rest of the book, she spends it being haunted by her sin, and by the fear of getting caught. Both lovers make each other miserable. Fun times.

Anyhow, there is a video blog of this in my Artsy Sister Youtube channel. Please give a like and subscribe.
