I did not get much work done as far as drawing was concerned. I will not get into details, with the whole remodeling of the kitchen and the fridge not plugged. Anyhow, this is one of my old drawings. It features a pretty ballerina with a coiled hairdo. I could not decide were to put the ribbon, so I placed it in her hand. Maybe it could go on the side of the hair or not.
The V shape cut is thought to be a bit modern. However, this outfit is circa 1850s. In those days, ballerinas were treated the same way as the courtesans. It was only thanks to Degas that their reputation improved. Degas admired ballerinas because of the physical strength, with all the jumping and the training.
