Today is just another date in paradise. I had somewhat of an interesting dream. I wrote it down for later usages. My next collection of short stories are only going to focus on dreams. I also work with my brother’s dreams as well. Very few people are capable of true cooperation. I helped him a lot, and he has helped me. My mother wanted us to get along.
Her brother and sister never got along with my mother. She always wandered why. I suppose it is always the curse of being the youngest sister. Younger sisters tend to be spoiled. They tend to be the douche in the family. I was a bit of a douche as well when I was little. I used to fight with my brother all the time. Still, we would always shake hands and say, “Let’s not fight again”. We have not had to say that in years.
In order for people to get along, both parties must have the desired to do so. If your mate doesn’t want to try, you should not bother as well. As of now, we are still working on our little manga projects. I already thought of a way to put my Pokemon Manga in a way that works. It will be part of a multi-layer parody. The main joke is going to focus on flashbacks that take forever to get nowhere.
The biggest culprit in this department is Naruto and Yugioh. Too many flashbacks I could do without. I never use flashbacks in my stories. When I think, I only remember in tiny fragments. I do not have a long period of introspection. People’s memories are rarely that coherent. Still, this is enough with how people think.
I cannot say how others think. I can only know what I know. I suppose I should work harder on my empathy. I am not too emphatic as far as many things are concerned. I find people quite annoying. I just like to focus on my little projects and my work. I am a creative type of person. As such, I am compelled to always be working on one little project or other.
Today, I am going to go back to my Gilgamesh and Kida manga. We are going to do a grand parody of the Phantom of the Opera. Still, we are going to add a little twist to it. It is going to be one of our craziest little stunts yet. I am not a big fan of boring, predictable plots. If it looks like something that it already happened, I will not repeat it. I also do not believe in repeating jokes. The entire manga world is full of repeated jokes and tired old gags. Still, they have maintained somewhat of a profit.
People have very short memories. This is well noted as far as online memory. People only remember things as far as three days. Only the impression of things tends to last longer. People are also prone to stop fighting after they win once. This is how the story of the Sopa pipa thing ended. It has been many years of living with those laws. My brother saw that general trend years ago. This is why he insisted on being original. I am slowly becoming original.
Still, I am not at the point where I can imagine a completely fresh manga project that I can get into. My brother has been thinking of turning my fantasy book into a manga. I am not a big fan of this idea. I do not want to repeat myself. As things stand, I will not revisit the fantasy genre for the next decade or so. One can only write so much of the same thing before it becomes stagnant. Speaking of stagnant, I think this blog is wearing thin, let my Opera begin. Bye, bye for now. Artsy Sister, over and out.
