Today, I did a nice bjd doll photoshoot featuring my Lilian. Lilian was made by Doll Chateau. The doll I got is the complete set.
I even included the body blushing. Though, I think you have to look closely to notice.
This photoshoot has in total 45 photos. I chose a simple background and props for this photoshoot.
I have been using the same camera for almost 10 years. It is starting to make weird sounds whenever I zoom in and out.
As long as it keeps turning on, I have no reason to change it. As for the photoshoot, I had some stylized animal figurines that I thought would look nice.
I also used the couch prop. The other companion dolls came in various shapes and sizes.
I think next week I am going to do a Thanksgiving themed bjd doll photoshoot. I am also going to dust off my new miniature background.
I decorated the shoe box with a nice combination of gold, red and pink. I am getting ahead of myself.
I rather focus on the current inventory. I took standing, sitting and portrait photos of my dolls.
The standing photos are usually the most difficult. The new doll is rather heavy, with nice steady legs.
The difficult thing is working with the horns. They are attached with magnets, and they are rather heavy.
If I am not careful, the horns can fall off and take the wig down with it. The year is almost over.
The best I can hope for is that things stay the same. If things get better, that would be awesome.
Still, I like to keep my expectations realistic. It is the best way to avoid disappointment.
Aside from playing with my bjd dolls, I am also making a decent amount of progress with my books.
I do not know how I feel about my latest writing project. I think after that book gets done, I might write the Sacred Mask 5.
I could even do a prequel of sorts. It is easy for me to get abstracted in my writing.
Most of the books I tend to write them in my mind, before I settled down to write them on the computer.
I see the scenes playing out. I work, and rework them, until it has a cohesive structure.
Dreams also help in that department.
I also need to get around completing the new Scary Cat volume.
The good thing about self-publishing is that I make my own deadlines.
I write for my own amusement.
Originally, I was a little iffy about publishing my original work, but I figured that it would be nice to have the work copyrighted.
As long as it exists only on my computer, some random jerk can just take it.
Well, enough about my writing.
I am making progress in the video game that I am currently playing.
Prey offers mild jump scares.
It keeps me entertained, especially when I am fighting the monolith.
I live from day to day.
Nothing exiting ever happens.
Then again, it is better to have a boring life, than one filled with problems.
I do not remember the last time I ever looked forward to something.
I could tell you more.
But I do not want to bog you down with my meditations on the immortality of the crab.
The immortality of the crab is just a Cuban phrase.
It means that you are devoting too much of your mental energy thinking about nonsense.
I think I ranted enough for one day.
I want to focus some of my energy in completing my new book.
I might make it a trilogy or something.
IT could just be a standalone project.
Who knows, really. It all depends on my mood.
Teresita Blanco is tapping out for today. Happy doll hunting.
I hope you find the one doll that brings a smile to your face.
