I recently got back from my vacation. I was fooling about in Mexico for an entire week.
It had been three years since we went on a real vacation. So, I left the laptop and the dolls at home to focus on having fun.
Now, that I am back from my trip it is time for business as usual. Since this is a Monday, you get your mandatory bjd doll photoshoot.
In this one, my bjd doll Odette is wearing a simple shirt and pants. The shoes are not really designed for the ballet, but they fit her just fine.
It is nice to be able to change around her shoes. I was going for a gender neutral, unisex type of look.
Even the wig gives her a bit of a masculine look. She can be seen as both male or female, or neither.
This is just the longwinded explanation as to why she is dressed the way she is.
I got this outfit from a surprise box, and since it is new clothing, my doll is wearing it.
The surprise box came from Denver doll Emporium. During the summer, they do discount garage sales from Friday to Saturday.
So, this is how I ended up getting this new look for my bjd doll. I also ordered a few outfits from Dollmore.
They are going to get here in a couple of days. I am always trying to photograph the dolls in different outfits.
At the rate that I am going, the dolls are going to end up with more outfits than me.
I do not like buying outfits for myself, but I do want my dolls to dress well. It is stupid, but it is true.
The theme of this photoshoot was nothing too far out there.
I just wanted to showcase the look of the doll. I took two types of photographs.
One all in color, and the other focusing on the color red. I used my vanity mirror as a prop.
In the background, you can sometimes see me, as well as the paintings I have hanging in my bedroom.
I am quickly filling up all my walls with pouring paintings.
One day, I might have to start hanging them in other rooms.
My mom is a bit of a dictator as far as room décor.
She doesn’t mind the paintings, as long as they stay exclusively in my bedroom.
Oh…well. I suppose there are some things that cannot be helped.
When you live with other folks, you are required to make concessions.
It is not as if it is that big of a deal. It is all a matter of figuring out the best way to organize all your paintings.
I think I ranted enough about my dolls and my bedroom décor.
My camera is almost a decade old, but it still takes pretty good photographs.
When I zoom in and out, it makes a strange creaking sound.
The lens probably need oil or something.
I do not know. I am not a camera expert.
I am good with the camera software and techniques.
If the camera breaks, I do not know how to fix it.
I think I ranted enough for one day.
I hope you like my new bjd doll photographs.
My name is Teresita Blanco, the Artsy Sister.
Bye, bye and God bless.
