Today, I got around to making a new bjd doll photoshoot. The ballerina doll, the wig and the outfit were made by Dollmore.
The silly Mariachi hat was bought in Cancun.
I was down in Mexico vacationing when I found a few items that would work as props for my bjd photoshoots.
The drawer is another one of those props. The fan and the decorative bison skull are also new.
It is interesting how adding a bit of color jazzes up the look of any type of skull.
Different types of skulls should be painted Dia de los Muertos style.
It is a nice aesthetic. It makes the afterlife seem a little bit more colorful.
With all the props and the doll in place, all that was left was for me to take the photos.
I wasn’t aiming for anything too complicated.
The ballerina bjd doll was a little uncooperative.
Using the mirror as floor has its drawbacks.
The doll slips easily, and it makes it difficult for her to maintain a pose.
It is for this reason that I use a drapery most of the time for my photoshoots.
The cloth creates friction.
This helps the doll maintain her pose without falling down.
I took about 34 photographs in total.
I also made a new bjd doll video, with some of the early poses.
The video is going to up and about soon.
I try to show my dolls in new outfits most of the time.
In doing so, I give the audience something new to look at every time.
When I do not have a new outfit, I have a new doll wearing the old outfit.
It helps that most of my dolls have similar body types.
It removes some of the guesswork of dressing the bjd dolls.
I have been working on finding outfits that fit both of my tallest dolls.
Everything is a work in process after all.
I have been thinking of getting new project boards to create new background settings.
The current backgrounds are interesting, but also not too special.
It could be better; it is the point I am trying to make.
In any case, I hope that you like my latest bjd doll photoshoot.
I ranted enough for one day.
My name is Teresita Blanco, the Artsy Sister.
Bye, bye and God bless.
Moving along then.
