I went to a new restaurant this weekend. I was bored of the usual places. My mom suggested we go to Bocas. Bocas is a Venezuelan restaurant.
The interior has a nice ambience. The waitress was swift. We didn’t have to ask her for extra water.
The most important thing is the food. We started with the appetizer sampler. It came with Arepas, tequenos and other cheese stuff.
That little black roll has a pint of sweetness to it. It was real yummy. For drinks, I got strawberry juice, mother had maracuja and my brother had a pina colada.
For the main course, we got three different types of arepas. Mom had pork, my brother beef and mine had shrimp.
After the meal, we got a dessert. I ate milkshake, my brother had an impressive three milks and my mom had a golfeado.
I tried their desserts. They were equally yummy. The syringe in my brother’s three milks had condensed milk. The desserts where impressive to say the least.
I wish I could have finished mine. Alas, I was far too full. I have gotten used to eating smaller plates. Whatever we couldn’t finish, we took home.
I recommend the milkshakes. The shakes are best shared with a friend. I think I ranted enough about this new restaurant I visited.
