Two months ago, I started a silly series of drawings. They are all based on musical instruments. I started this series because I made a mistake with the paper pad order. Instead of returning it, I decided to use it. While I was fudging around in deviant art, a fellow suggested I make a series of anime drawings based on musical instruments.
Instead of doing violin and pianos, I did something else. I started doing the list of drawings using the Wikipedia that mentions all the music instruments. If I can find a good real world reference, I make the drawing. This brings me back to the main drawing.
IT features an anime girl playing the Castanets. The castanets make clank, clank sounds. They are typically used my flamenco dancers. All the anime girls in my series are wearing mori dresses and they have red hair. I have a red pencil I want to finish using up.
I am one of the few people that like using pencils till they are down to a stub. I am making a coffee table book about it. This anime drawing is a mixed media type of project. I used coloring pencils and pens to make the drawing. The true drawing is actually rather small. I have a pretty good camera.
This makes it real easy to zoom in. The pen I use for the skin is rather thin. This helps created the illusion that this is a pretty large drawing. I think this is about it as far as my nonsense goes. I hope you like this pretty anime drawing of mine. I am going to be posting these types of drawings for a bit.
