Today, I did a solo bjd doll photoshoot. I had my dolly dress herself up as Cinderella.
I got her a blue dress that resembles the Cinderella look a lot.
The only downside is that I didn’t have any glass slippers to go with the set.
Still, she does look cute enough. The outfit was made by Dollmore.
It included the dress, the hat, and the blue necklace.
Once the doll was dressed, all that remained was to get the background elements and props.
I have a lot of food miniatures. They work well both with small and bigger dolls.
I chose a bit of a darker background so that the bjd doll would stand out.
The plastic food and the tea sets were just the final details needed to make the photoshoot work.
I have two different tea sets, one with flowers and the other with tiny bears.
Both were key in making this photoshoot work.
All that remained was to pose the doll.
I took standing, sitting, lying down and portrait photos.
In total, I took 26 photos. It is a decent amount for a single doll photoshoot.
The background elements made the photoshoot take longer than expected.
Since it was a Monday, I was a little mellowed out.
It is fun and rewarding to do these doll photoshoots, but they eat away at my time.
If I spend all day photographing dolls, I won’t have time to write books or draw.
As the saying goes, variety is the spice of life.
I hope this year things become a little better.
When not playing with dolls, I have been working on the second part of the Lover’s Pentacle.
I am roughly 30 percent done with the new book.
I think I ranted enough about my dolls and my books for one day.
This is Teresita Blanco, the Artsy Sister.
Bye, bye and God Bless.
