I wanted to show you 18 lovely Cinderella paintings and illustrations. Cinderella is one of the most popular fairy tales of all time. It has been adapted into plays and movies hundreds of times.

Her story has some regional variants. The most common one is about a girl whose father dies. She is then made into a servant by her stepmother. Her sisters are also mean to her.

One day the King makes a ball for his Prince. He wants the Prince to finally pick a wife and settle down. Cinderella wants to go to the ball, but her sisters keep giving her chores.

They eventually tear her dress. Cinderella is then helped by a fairy who gives her a dress, glass slippers and pumpkin carriage. Cinderella goes to the ball. The prince falls in love with her.

She flees when the magic starts going away, but she leaves a shoe behind. The prince uses the shoe to find her and they get married.

In some versions, the princess dates the prince a couple of times before he grows curious enough to follow her. Other times, her father is alive and is also a bully. In one version, she is helped by a magic doll.

In others, birds come to her aid. What they all have in common is that Cinderella is a good girl. These artworks show various episodes of the life of Cinderella.

I hope you find them amusing. There is a video blog of these paintings in my Artsy Sister Youtube channel. Please do give a like and subscribe.
