I wanted to rant about Colombia, Cartagena. This is the first country that I visited as a tourist.
We went with a big group. It has been a while since I traveled. So, I felt like looking at the old photos.
I might as well rant about what I remember. It all started with a bus ride. After a while, we arrived to the hotel. It was called Caribbean.
The pillows were made of stone. The bed was made of wood. I am just exaggerating a little.
The beds were rather hard. It made it difficult to fall asleep. Some folks like hard bed.
I prefer them with a bit of a spring. I like bed that are softer than the floor. I think the floor was softer than the bed I slept on.
What I really liked was the food. You could order room service at all hours of the night.
The pool was also rather nice. It was the perfect place to drown. When not fooling about the hotel, we went on tours.
We toured the Church on top of the Mountains and a Castle. Both were pretty fun venues to explore.
We also walked about a bit inside the Walled City. The San Felipe de Barajas Fort was a pretty steep climb.
We saw a few cannons and a dark corridor. It was good to go in the Fall. The weather was windy.
The sun glowed quite gently. I suppose it might be different seven years later. The church had a lovely garden.
I think it was called La Popa Convent. There was a display of little figurines. Each represented a miracle.
The tour guide said more stuff. I forget. It was a longtime ago.
I also explored the Emerald Museum. There was a crystal skull there.
I do not know if it was a real one or not.
Either way, it was fun to look at. I think I ranted enough about vacation for one day.
Tomorrow, I am going to make a new Artsy blog.
I hope you find it amusing. My name is Teresita Blanco, the Artsy Sister. Bye, bye and God bless.
