After not giving it much thought, my brother and I decided that we would go back to photoshop. Doing things in the physical world costs a lot of money. If we make a mistake, that is it, as far as the page is concerned. Every time one has to start from scratch, the labor costs go up. It is for this reason that I write all my books on the computer. Writing things on paper just takes too long. In the end, one has to digitize everything. Regardless, all my latest publications are available on the printed format. If you are interested on them, search for my name on Amazon. There is not another Teresita Blanco writing books there. It helps a lot to have such a unique name on circulation. I suppose in the world there are more girls with my name.
Still, there isn’t one that has gotten into the publication business. Even if one did start in the game. It is obvious which works belong to me. There is not a lot of people who can draw and write. Speaking of writing, I am in the middle of editing my book Melina. Once it looks dandy, it will be up on Amazon real soon. Most people prefer to hire an editor. Frankly, my dear brother has been working just dandy for me. I am the writer and he edits my work. We naturally did that a lot in high school. We were always tutoring folk, and also editing their essays. We were trying to rank up hours for our community service. It was something that was required to get the scholarship.
I was never a fan of doing something for nothing. I still despise it. For example, in Cuba, cleaning the streets was always considered a type of community service. Since nobody got paid to do it, the streets were always dirty. Do you see my point here, my good man? Nobody should be expected to do something for free. That is just wrong, and a type of socially induced slavery. Then again, slavery has a bad tone to it. I would call it indentured servitude. You don’t get beaten as much, but you still don’t get paid. The world would be a nicer place if people did not expect freebies. This is just my overall perspective on the matter. As of now, we have been thinking on how to make Apocalypse for the Chibi manga. We decided to make it a work of art. We want to paint it all with acrylics and glitter. The issue now is how to make the proper arrangements. Some of the individual panels are super elaborate.
I was thinking on making each panel its own standalone painting. It would be an interesting little project. This would be the first manga, that is truly a work of art. I wonder what the chibies are going to say about it. Then again, I am slowly becoming more interesting as a writer than as a painter. Given enough time, I hope that my paintings become famous as well. Like everything it takes time. It also doesn’t help that I never went to art school. I was going to in FIU. However, all the Studios were pretty far away. It was not feasible to take classes there, and walk all the way over there. Little by little, I have been getting a little better as far as painting is concerned. All my things resemble something. Moving along, the photo was taken with my Fujifilm finepix camera.
