I recently ordered some dollmore outfits. Among them, I wanted to see if I could find an outfit that would fit my Dream Valley Elf doll.
He is the tallest bjd doll in my collection. He is about 70 cm tall. As to be expected, finding clothing for him isn’t easy.
After window shopping for a bit, I found this kimono that was on a doll of relative size and body mass.
His Dollmore size is the same as their Glamour Model dolls. The ones that are about 72 to 71 cm tall.
Dressing him in the kimono was an amusing venture. It doesn’t have any Velcro. It just has strings.
So, you have to put it on, in the traditional fashion. It was a lot of guesswork in that department.
Still, I think I did a decent job dressing him. The entire set comes with the pants, the white shirt and the black coat.
The coat has an interesting pattern. You need to look at it from the right angle to notice.
Once he was dressed, it came time for the photoshoot. I have a couple of dragon swords.
I thought it would make for a fun prop. This Dream Valley bjd doll weights a ton and he kicks a lot.
He came with all his body blushing, so at least he had an all-natural feel. I left him barefoot because folks in kimono are usually walking around barefoot.
Plus, the socks hid his beautiful little toes. The kimono itself was actually pretty affordable, just 50 bucks.
My doll chateau dresses are actually far more expensive. It is such a pity that the person who used to make my Doll Chateau dresses no longer operates in Etsy, for reasons related to world events.
There are some things that cannot be helped. The world cannot go for more than five years without having a major war or some type of catastrophe.
All we can do is hope and pray that one’s sandbox is not the one that acts up next.
I am not going to continue talking about that. You came here to read about BJD dolls. I took about 40 photos of my tallest doll.
It was fun to style his hair around. His hair is very pretty. You can’t tell that he is an elf because his pointed ears are small.
His wig also covers his lovely lavender eyes most of the time. I need to get around to shortening the bangs of the wig.
Still, I kinda like the way the blonde wig looks. Aside from the kimono, I also got a bunch of dresses for my other dolls.
I will eventually do the photoshoot for the new outfits. For the time being, I need to finish the photoshoot series of my little dragon doll.
My vampire doll also requires some attention. She poses rather nicely, and she has a creepy vibe.
I think this is about everything I have to say about my bjd dolls. As far as my other projects, I have been working in jazzing up the backgrounds a bit.
I need to get around to buying new project boards, for background purposes. I recently finished reediting the Sacred Mask 2.
I did some minor changes here and there. I also added more information to the introduction.
Most of the info just references things that happened in the first book. Think of it, like a little recap.
The third part is still in the editing process. It has 220,000 word count. I am going with the fat book format.
I also try not to repeat the same story beats. I am also brainstorming a bit the front cover.
It has to convey the plot, with chess pieces. I grew up playing chess. It is a pretty amusing game to play, as long as you do not take it too seriously.
Speaking of games, lately I have bene playing Roller Coaster Tycoon 3. It is in the Nintendo Switch.
I am just clearing up the little scenarios one at a time. I am still in the waiting list for the PS5.
I made peace with it.
It will get it, when I get it.
I am not going to spend 800 bucks on the console.
I need that money to buy doll dresses.
I am in a writing type of mood, anyway.
This is everything that is going on in my life.
I hope you look forward to reading my third Sacred Mask book.
This is Teresita Blanco, the Artsy Sister.
Bye, bye.
And God bless.
