Today I felt like doing a nice photoshoot of my first bjd doll. She was also the first doll I bought in like forever.
Before getting into collection BJD Dolls, I had a small Barbie collection I gave away to some kid.
I had a lot of storage issues back in the old apartment. Now, I actually have room to get stuff.
I recently added a display case for my BJD dolls. For the time being, I only have a new pre-order doll coming this way.
I expect her by Christmas time. Now, it is time to focus on the current photoshoot. I want to keep things varied around the edges.
I changed up the dress of the doll, since the Christmas time has passed. Valentines day is coming up.
I haven’t anything planned for it, for the obvious reasons. The photoshoot I kept it simple enough. I like using the mirror prop a lot.
The photos were taken with my trusty Fujifilm Finepix Camera. The camera is almost a decade old, but it still takes a decent amount of photos.
When I zoom in and out, it makes a hissing sound. Other than that, the camera does what it is supposed it.
When I am taking the photos, I use the setting to take photos of letters. It saves me a lot of guesswork.
I only need to put the proper spacing between myself and the doll. The background is something I painted on a project board.
I need to get around to making a new background. I think I might try something a little abstract. I think some cool patterns would make things very amusing.
This is all work in progress. This year I am going to try to save up a little bit of money.
If I get another doll, she is probably going to be purchased around Christmas time.
There is usually a special on bjd doll sells near Christmas time, or in the Lunar Calendar New Year.
This year we will probably not travel anywhere. Our travel guide self-invited into our house to attempt to sell us a couple of tourist traps.
When we did not bite, she ate our food, and she annoyed my mother with terrible conversation.
The woman just loves to talk bad about people, specially her kids or other people’s children.
Anyhow, I have officially lobotomized myself from that experience. Don’t you just hate haters?
I mean what type of a jerk talks bad about her own flesh and blood behind their back? Seriously, dude.
Aside from that nonsense, a tomato caterpillar attacked one of my tomato plants, so that was annoying.
A few of my tomatoes have started to produce fruit. It has been forever since I had tomatoes grow in my backyard.
As far as my gardening situation, I haven’t added that many new plants. I added a few seeds here and there.
With any luck, it will save me the trouble of buying plants at the store. Anyhow, I hope you find my latest rant amusing.
I started working a bit in the Furies manga.
My new Sacred Mask book is also progressing rather slowly.
I have about 100,000 words.
I am going for the fat book format, so I need to get around to adding another 60,000 more words into the mix.
