Today, I did a new bjd doll photoshoot featuring my faun bjd doll.
The doll was made by Doll Chateau.
The dress and the wig were made by Dollmore.
My dolly can also be called a Satyr.
She is sporting a lovely summer dress covered in polka dots.
I did a few camera tricks to focus on the color red.
I took roughly an even number of both types of photos.
I also took standing, sitting, lying down and portrait photographs.
I used my tricycle as a prop. The faun doll has some pretty nice stable legs.
I can get a decent number of poses from the bjd doll.
The elastics also have the right tension.
It is the sweet spot between not too tight and not too lose.
Getting that right balance is key to using bjd dolls in photoshoots.
If you are just going to have a doll doing nothing, the tightness of the elastic really doesn’t matter.
My dolls work. They are not allowed to sit around doing nothing.
All joking aside, I also made a Tiktok and a Youtube video of my latest photoshoot.
I was trying to invoke the feel of summer.
That is why she has such a lose looking outfit.
In the real world, it has been raining cats and dogs.
It looks almost like nighttime. So, I tried to make the best out of the artificial illumination of the house.
I couldn’t rely on natural sunlight for the photoshoot.
There was simply none to be found. The mirror prop is used sparsely in this photoshoot.
I am not really certain if I ended up truly needing it for the photoshoot.
I have been thinking of getting new faux flowers for my doll videos.
It is a bit boring for my doll to always be holding the same rose.
