I finally got around to showing you my finished pouring paintings. Pouring paintings are a good way of expressing your creative chaos.

It is also perfect for recycling your old paints. Instead of throwing them away, you can just add medium to the mix to turn them into pouring paint.

I have experimented a lot with various mediums. I used a little bit of Liquitex, Floetral, and Mont Marte Pouring medium.

I also added a bit of silicone oil to the mix. Just a single droplet helps create all the cells that you want, without a torch.

The problem with all these competing mediums is that I do not know the final form of the painting. This time I took two photographs of the paintings.

One while wet, and the other with the painting dry. As it settles, it starts looking a little different. Sometimes the change is subtle.

Other times, the final product looks completely different. You learn to work with it, by watching paint drying.

It isn’t the most exciting thing to do, but it helps remove the guess work. To avoid breathing in the fumes, I advise that you dry the paints outside the house.

I use the screened porch for this purpose. With the mediums, it takes an entire day for the pouring paintings to finish drying.

Once, I am done, I add a layer of varnish. It just helps give a unified look to the entire paintings. I think I ranted enough about my pouring paintings for a bit.

In Youtube and Tiktok, there are videos showing you the making of these artworks.

I hope you find them amusing. This is Teresita Blanco, the Artsy Sister. Bye, bye and God bless.
