It has been a while since I added a new marker drawing. I made this dress, and many others to practice with the markers. I can see why they cost an arm and a leg. They are truly useful. I am currently working on a new project. It is going to be a children’s book, about a cat. I want to draw the pictures with markers. It will be the first project, I make by adding the colors by hand.
I have stayed away from the idea, because I did not trust my own skills. Still, when push comes to shove, a drawing can always be corrected with photoshop. I have always worked with a shoe string budget. As such, I was always thinking of ways to save money on supplies.
As far as the main manga is concerned, it is progressing. In the past, we used to have scenes bound on stone. These days we allow our imagination to take over. By the time we get to the planned scene, we have come up with something completely different and a bit crazy. I try to keep things unexpected, in order to avoid being like the other writers and mangaka artists.
If the reader can predict the plot, then I am not doing a good job, am I? As I said before, everything is a work in progress. Moving along, the featured drawing is a maiden dressed like a national bird from some country or another. I forget which one. The bird was colorful, and so I drew it with markers.
As of now, I am almost out of Canvases, and walls to hang them. I should really get around to selling some of my paintings, but that idea does not inspire me much confidence. Professional painters work by commissions. As such, I will only sell something that a person asked me to paint.
For the time being, I will be working on becoming a more skilled painter. The last thing I should mention is my silly book. I am just about halfway done with my current inventory. I still have one last book to add to the Saturnastra series.
I think that when I am done, I will make a fat file, with all the books, but only for the Kindle. The print version might be a little bit too big to print. I think this is enough about it, as far as what I am up to. I hope you find this drawing of mine somewhat entertaining.
