Today, I was in a Halloween type of mood. So, I made this Hollow Knight fanart based on the Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors movie poster.
It is a little bit early for me to be doing Halloween drawings, but whatever. I go on my own schedule. This movie poster goes great with the Hollow Knight game.
Hollow Knight has its own Freddy Krueger character. It actually has two. Both Radiance and Nightmare King Grimm kill you in your dreams.
Going to sleep in Hallownest is a dangerous thing to do. In my parody, Master Grimm dominates the background. Facing him is the Chibi Knight or Ghost.
I prefer to call him the Chibi knight. Like the maiden from Dream Warriors, Chibi can draw power from the Dream World in order to augment his fighting skills.
To compliment the Chibi knight, I added Zote, Hornet and Quirrel. Both have passed by Dirthmouth at some point or another.
So, they would have encountered Master Grimm, at some point or another. I chose them because their looks go well with the characters of the movie.
I had Zote be in his mighty form because we are technically in the dream world. Grimm has the same resilience as Freddy Krueger.
Even if you defeat Grimm in his Nightmare world, he eventually comes back for more punishment. After all, he is a boss in the Godseeker home.
So, clearly defeating him twice wasn’t enough to put this Nightmare to bed. In any case, I hope that this movie poster parody puts you in the Halloween mood.
