I made a new Hollow Knight fanart. This one is couples themed. You see Emilitia dancing with the Collector.
In the background, I added to ghost characters for decoration. Ignore them. They are not really there.
The Coppelia ballet is about a guy who leaves his girlfriend because he fell in love with a doll.
The doll Coppelia looks so real that he mistakes her for a woman of flesh and blood. The creator of the doll Coppelia wants to bring his doll to life.
So, he plans to sacrifice the boyfriend Franz in order to breathe life into the doll. Now, it is up to Swanhilda to save her stupid ex-boyfriend from Dr.Coppelius.
In this scene, Franz is dancing with the stiff doll. He still hasn’t realized that Coppelia isn’t a real person.
In the Hollow knight version, the Collector is dancing with the Hollow Knight equivalent of Coppelia. She resembles Emilitia, but she doesn’t move.
She still needs a soul to come to life. The other bugs in the background are her doll sisters.
So, this is everything that went into the creation of this Hollow Knight drawing. I did a poll and asked what type of dance they wanted to see.
The ballet won by a large margin. So, I decided to do a Hollow Knight Coppelia. I looked through a lot of photos before settling on this one.
