Today, I did a new Hollow Knight fanart. This one is a reference to a Charles Le Brun painting called The Chancellor Seguier.

I saw this painting in an art book that I was reading. The book is called What Great Paintings Say.

The Chancellor looked like such a snob in this painting that it inspired me to make this Hollow Knight fanart.

I simply changed all the human characters for Hollow Knight characters. Instead of a horse, I used a Grimsteed.

The person ridding the Grimsteed is the Pale King. He is going to the visit his Queen. Paintings like this were done during the wooing process.

The Pale King commissioned this painting in order to show his prospective Queen the power and influence he wields.

He is surrounded by his retainers and a couple of knights. The knights are holding up chainsaws, instead of umbrellas.

The Pale King is all about Chainsaws. So, naturally, he uses them in order to protect his pale complexion.

Since the fanart was a little gray, I added blue butterflies to add a bit of color into the mix. Blue butterflies are not too uncommon in the World of the Hollow Knight. They make for good decoration.

The only other color comes from the red shell of the Grimmsteed. Overall, I was trying to capture the pompous nature of the Pale King.

I think I did a pretty decent looking fanart. My name is Teresita Blanco, the Artsy Sister. Bye, bye and God bless.
