When I was in the Florida Keys years ago, I found Waldo. He was just roaming through the crowd minding his own business. When I was little used to look through those magazines looking for the fellow. It was always interesting to look for Waldo. He was also at times behind the cereal box. So, here is Waldo caught with my camera. You folks see him, do you not. Aside from Waldo, you get a pretty good ideal of all the variety of people hanging out in the Keys during Halloween.
The trees were just the right kind of spooky. I do not know how this Halloween theme started. During the parade, there was even the mayor with a float making campaign. It was a complete mess. However, it was more or less peaceful endeavor . People were respecting each other's space. Everyone behaved cordially, but not in an offensive manner. Then again, I was not in outfit. I was also carrying around my big camera. People tend to think I am reporter when I carry that camera around.
Technically, I am. I do have the diploma for that career. However, I was never hired by one of those newspaper companies or TV studios. It is all about connections, and I do not have any. Every always gets the job because of a friend, of a friend, or through a family member. Also, the state of the industry today is sickening. Not because of the fake news. Rather, they are into the whole free internship thing. They tried that once in Japan and all the interns went marching, till they got payed. It was a whole mess in the 1950s. People should never work for free!!!
