This is my latest ink art. It is loosely inspired in space.
It is a lot of fun to paint with black paper. It makes the colors pop.
Sometimes I need to add white ink into the mix to brighten the colors.
The pink ink tends to look orange on black paper.
So, this is something to consider when working with black paper.
The paper and ink I used was made by pixiss.
For the time being, I have been using the biggest paper.
The bigger the paper, the more ink I have to use to finish the painting.
Bigger painting allows for me to photograph more smaller details.
I also took photos of the painting both wet and dry.
This is mostly for visual comparison’s sake. There is nothing more exciting than watching paint dry.
Now, I am going to talk about a specific painting.
The first one I am going to rant about is the Blue Nebula painting.
I started by soaking the paper with rubbing alcohol.
It is important to turn on the top ventilator when working with alcohol ink.
It helps dry the painting a lot faster. I began the painting by adding drops of white ink.
Once I was happy with the set up, I added yellow and blue ink.
Lastly, I added silvery ink to give it a bit of a shine.
The final painting I also soaked the paper a lot.
I created a cascade effect by tilting the paper.
With just a bit of white ink, I was able to make that lovely white stream effect.
I added afterwards red and golden ink.
I folded the paper in order to make the ink flow in two different directions.
To complete the painting, I added a few dabs of silver ink.
So, this is about it as far as my ink arts are concerned.
I will probably make more next week. I make them in batches of four.
You can see the videos in both Tiktok and Youtube.
I hope you find them amusing. My name is Teresita Blanco, the Artsy Sister. Bye, bye and God bless.
