Today, I wanted to write a short blog about La Fuente. La Fuente means the fountain. It is a Spanish restaurant in Barcelo.
When I say Spanish, I mean from the country of Spain. The first thing I wanted to talk about was the trip to the restaurant.
Since it wasn’t in the main hotel, we had to take the bus to go there. Barcelo has a bus that helps you move throughout all the resorts.
So, you can make reservations in a restaurant that is not part of the section that you are staying.
Those that stay in the Palace have access to all parts of the Barcelo of the Riviera Maya.
In the outside of the restaurant, there is a cool looking stone fountain. The interior décor is themed after Flamenco.
Even the waitresses are dressed like Flamenco dancers. It is a nice aesthetics. I took a photograph of a cool Don Quixote and Sancho Panza statues.
The statues were made of wood. Spain is all about Don Quixote. So, it makes sense to see him at the entrance of La Fuente restaurant.
This restaurant offers a 3-course meal and also a salad bar. We ordered food and then we were allowed access to the salad bar.
My brother had grapes, ham and a bit of cheese. For appetizers, I had the shrimp and also the free bread.
It is fun to see the differences of bread among all the restaurants. This one was especially yummy.
For the main course, I had yellow rice and chicken. The chicken also had almonds to give it a little extra crunch.
Lastly, we had desserts. I tried my brother’s pudding looking bread. It was yummy. I had the flan.
All in all, it was a fine dining experience. I would repeat the experience if I could.
Alas, all good vacations must come to an end.
In any case, I think I ranted enough about La Fuente Restaurant.
My name is Teresita Blanco, the Artsy Sister. Bye, bye and God bless.
