Today, I finally got around to doing the first official photoshoot of my little fox Lazuli.
The doll was made by Dream Valley. I wanted to see the types of poses he was able to strike with such a large tail.
The bjd doll tail is really pretty and heavy as well. It provides a good counterweight.
Once you do a bit of work around, playing with the new doll becomes very amusing. Aside from the tail, the doll has pretty stable limbs.
They do not snap into place, and he also doesn’t do unpredictable movements like my silly Doll Chateau Ashley.
He does kick a lot, but that is normal for little foxes. The little fox also has cute little eyes.
They are barely noticeable because of his judgmental way of looking at you. This makes the little fox a lot of fun.
Most of the photos focus on far away shots. Anything too close, and you stop noticing the tail.
I used the mirror as a prop. It was useful for providing some balance for the doll.
Doll stands are fun, but they are a bit cumbersome with smaller dolls. This one can kick, without the need of a doll stand.
The tail is really useful. I can manipulate the tail.
Turn it to the left, and the turn it to the right.
All the photos where taken with flash. I used my trusty Fujifilm Finepix Camera.
I have been using the same old gal for almost a decade. I could change it, but why get rid of something that works.
The photos come out pretty high quality. You can only tell that the camera is old, when you zoom in and out.
The lens make a silly creaking sound. I amuse myself with the photoshoot. It is a great way to pass the time.
I am putting in the finishing touches in another book. I am also finishing up the third volume of Scary Cat.
This time she goes to a birthday party. It can be a good gift to give a friend who is having a birthday.
I illustrated all the nice things that you can do in a typical birthday party. I have been brainstorming some things here and there.
It is just a concept idea, but I have a good feeling about it. I am still going to be vague and cryptic about it.
It is an idea we have been thinking about for a long time. Moving along, I am starting to get a little hungry.
I hope you find this nice photoshoot amusing. This is Teresita Blanco, the Artsy Sister. Bye, Bye and God bless. Today, the Artsy Sister is having Pizza for lunch.
